Sometimes you just need a little keyboard.  Say you don't want to waste the real estate on your workbench for a full sized keyboard to occasionally type in a couple of commands.   Or maybe you want the convenience of a tiny trackpad and keyboard combined, instead wiring up a mouse and keyboard.

A Raspberry Pi with one of these, a WiFi adapter and a mini LCD display is a complete Linux computer in a space smaller than an iPad Mini.

The mini display is a surplus 7" automotive LCD - here's a link to a similar one from Amazon.  Here's a link to the wireless keyboard available from Adafruit and elsewhere.

All of this was basically plug-and-play - with a little soldering on the LCD display cables.
